My name is Wendy Schramm and I have been a long time advocate for multi-age classrooms. It is very exciting for me to be teaching in Manson Options.

I came from Minnesota to the Lake Chelan Valley in 1987. My husband and I built a home in the hills above town and have raised three children there. We enjoy doing things together as a family; hiking, baseball, and basketball are some of our favorite pass times.

I grew up in a small farming community in Iowa and have a degree in elementary education from Augustana college in Sioux Falls, SD.  After completing college I moved to northern Minnesota where I worked as a canoe guide and youth director. The mountains were calling me so I moved west to work at Holden Village. There I enjoyed living in a small mountain village and spent my first year teaching in their one room school. Later I moved down lake and added an early childhood and arts endorsement to my teaching certificate. I had a children's art studio for a few years and taught visual arts at the Chelan Valley Independent School. When the Manson School District took on the multi-age concept I served on the parent advisory board. It is exciting for me to now be working as a teacher in the program.
