     Hello everyone!  My name is Andrea Whitney and this will be my sixteenth!year teaching, fourteen years that have been in elementary music. I've lived in Alaska, Wenatchee, the greater Spokane area, Chelan, and now Manson. After high school, I attained a bachelors degree in K-8th education, K-12 music education, and endorsements in library science and reading from Eastern Washington University. Later on I earned a masters degree in education from Grand Canyon Phoenix University and National Board Certification in Early/Middle Childhood Music. 
         I moved to the greater Chelan area in 2003, which was also my first year teaching at Manson Elementary. Over the past fifteen years I've taught a range of subjects from 1st and 2nd grade, to PE, to writing groups, and of course elementary music. For the past ten years I've been fortunate to teach all of Manson Elementary's students music two to three times a week!
        When I'm not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing outdoors, swimming, reading, and trying to complete various sewing projects.
