• saml Pledge to Clients: Spark in my students a lifelong curiosity of science and the natural world, forming creative and thinking adults who can work both independently and collaboratively.

Professional Experience:  This is my first year with my own classroom, but I have been a guest teacher and a wrestling coach for the past 3 years.

Education:  My journey started at Yakima Valley Community College, wrestling for the Yaks. After one year at YVCC, I was recruited to wrestle for Missouri Valley College, a small NAIA in Marshall, Missouri. At Missouri Valley, I obtained my Bachelor’s of Science in Conservation Biology. I received my teaching certificate and biology endorsement from University of Washington. Currently, I am on a break to finish my first my year of teaching, but I will be returning to finish my Master’s. GO DAWGS!

Outside Interests:  I enjoy wrestling, whether it is participating, coaching, or watching. I enjoy being outside and taking advantage of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. But, my favorite thing is hanging out with my oversized Weimaraner, Moose.

Personal InformationBefore teaching, I had a wide variety of jobs including: construction, pest control, and bartending. My favorite food is spaghetti and I have a twin brother that lives in McCook, Nebraska.
